Why does flintoff always injures his ankle?

0

It’s probably has a lot to do with the amount of weight that transfers itself through his legs and ankles when he bowls. Not only that but the force of bowling consistently (for years) above 85mph will obviously put a strain on his body and damage will be done. I doubt they way he lands his foot on the pitch helps matters though, his bowling stance hasn’t changed all that significantly over the years (as far as I’m aware anyway) and old injuries will get aggravated if he continues to do the things that caused the problem in the first place. Also, I doubt that being brought back into the side so soon after injury aided the recovery process. But this time around it’s his knee that’s the problem and not the ankle.
