A. In LifePak ESSENTIALS we use a mixture of organic and inorganic sources of calcium. While calcium carbonate is an inorganic source of calcium, it is the most commonly used source in supplements, primarily because of its high calcium content. Calcium carbonate provides a distinct advantage to consumers who want to take as few pills as possible to bridge their calcium gap. The slight advantage in absorption that organic sources of calcium have over other forms doesn’t justify the increased need of several additional tablets.
