Why does my Chihuahua keep biting my jack russell?
How well do they get along at other times besides meal time ? I would have doubts about them getting along together at all since the breeds are so very different, Even the AKC breed guideline for Chihuahuas mentions how clannish a Chi is and they normally do not like any other dogs besides another Chihuahua. I have 4 Chihuahuas and I have found this to be true. They like other Chihuahuas a lot. They tolerate other dogs, but only one of mine has ever bitten another dog. She weighs 3 pounds now as an adult and when she was a pup my daughter’s large Shepherd/Bloodhound mix Harley was sniffing her rear and tipped her upside down, She whipped around and bit Harley’s lip. She was the size of the Harley’s head. Lucky for me she just stood there and let me un-hook Sassy’s teeth from her lip. You should feed the dogs in different places so the JRT won’t keep getting bitten.
