Why does my Mastercycler skip to the end of the program rather than hold at 4°C as it is programmed to do?

When using the Start menu to run a selected program, if you press Enter too quickly, the Mastercycler may register it as though Enter was pressed twice. The second Enter is then held in memory. When the Mastercycler reaches the step Hold at 4°C, the second Enter is then used. The Mastercycler will continue to the next step, which in most cases will be the end of the program.
