Why does my receiver turn it self off?
The unit is going into protection because a fault has been detected either internally or externally. In this situation, turn the unit off and disconnect the speakers and A/V equipment from the unit. If the unit now remains on, a fault may have occurred with an external component (i.e. speakers or DVD player) If the receiver continues to turn off then the unit has an internal fault and will need to be taken to an Authorised Yamaha Service Centre.
