WHY DOES NAA OFFER A REWARD FOR STOLEN CARS?
We know that very few stolen cars are recovered in usable condition and we know that few car thieves are ever apprehended and prosecuted. We believe that if a car has the NAA Reward sticker on its window, someone in the neighborhood of where the stolen car first shows up, might be encouraged to call the police if they suspect that the car is stolen. In times past, the police would actually investigate a stolen car matter, but we know that they don’t usually do that any longer. So several years ago, NAA added the provision to make the Reward payable to the individual citizen who would provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of the thief.
