Why does not my outdoor cyclamen flower following year?It only produces leaves.?
They sometimes take a while to settle down outdoors, but if planted somewhere where they won’t be disturbed, they should go on to grow and multiply in future years. Make sure you didn’t plant the corm too deep, it should be just below the surface when you plant it so that as the soil wears away it will be almost visible. If yours is producing leaves it’s obviously doing OK, you just have to be patient and allow it time to take off. It’s good to buy cyclamen blooming in pots, because you know what colour they will be and also that the corm is a good living one, but remember the change to outdoor conditions can be a bit of a shock, and this might throw it out of seqence for flowering for the first year, maybe.
