Why does Parent Connect show a due date at the end of the semester for an assignment?
As of January of the 2008-2009 school year, some grades will be computed as averages in Parent Connect, such as Completion-Graded Homework, Quizzes, etc. These averages will span the entire length of the semester, so the grades will show as such. This will allow parents and students to easily see how well they are performing in certain categories. Especially in the area of homework completion, an average can be much more beneficial than just a daily grade – homework completion tends to correlate very much-so to how well most students perform in the class. Test scores and project scores will still be input as individual grades.
