Why does Radiation sound so murky?
Actually, it doesn’t. Radiation was, in contrast with many other pop albums (ok, and prog albums 🙂 mixed for playing on high end equipment and to be played loud. Usually (pop) albums are mixed to sound good with normal consumer equipment, because that’s what the pop consumers (yes, and prog consumers) usually have. Also, these people usually play the music at sensible volume levels. Should you have a high end stereo system, you already know Radiation sounds good.
