Why does the library catalog “timeout?”
Some features of the library catalog can only be used when you login with your library barcode. For example, you must login when you check your patron record or use the “bookbag” feature. If you forget to logout when you have finished, the next user will be able to access your personal information. To try to prevent this, the system is set to timeout after a period of inactivity, currently three minutes.
