Why does the new discussion message notification display even after all new messages are read?
The new discussion message notification is displayed regardless of whether the messages have been read or not. You can turn off the message notification for myVista (not the course menu) in the Build Tab through Manage course>Settings>myVista (in the Tools column). This is a known issue in Vista and has now been fixed.
