Why does the Park Department collect Recreational Fees from the independent youth softball and baseball programs – as well as the School Department?
Park Department philosophy is that any non-Town-run league or private entity – be it an independent Youth Sports organization or a Private business – that collects a fee for participation in their programs that take place on open Town property, will pay a Recreational Fee to the Town for the privilege of exclusive use.
