Why does the PosiTector UTG ME include both Multiple and Single Echo operating modes?
A. Multiple Echo mode eliminates coatings from thickness measurements. Even when there is no coating it produces repeatable, accurate measurements by averaging 3 or more back wall reflections. Single Echo mode has better sensitivity for detecting pits & flaws. It also increases the measurement range of the gage.
