Why does the price for SilverFast differ from scanner to scanner?
Those who browse our SilverFast-Price List, will see very different prices for one and the same software. The question comes up whether it is about the same software with the same range of features or which differences there are between each of the versions. First, there is to mention that there are different variants of SilverFast, as for example the full Ai-version, the limited SE-version or the expanded Studio-version, but even among these groups there are considerable differences in the prices. For every scanner, SilverFast Ai is the same, approximately 90% of the basic functions are identical. But there are some small differences in the range of features that are due to the scanner-hardware. Thus, in the case of a filmscaner with ICE3, SilverFast Ai has, for example, three additional buttons for the ICE dust remover or the GEM Grain Equalization & Management.
