Why does the TollTag have to be mounted in the windshield?
The TollTag operates on a radio frequency, and the windshield is typically the best place to ensure that the Tag can be read. Some vehicles have metallic windshields which interfere with the electronic signal. In those cases, mount the Tag on your license plate. Holding the tag with your hand or leaving it on the dashboard may also prevent the TollTag from reading accurately.
