Page 3 of the RFP addresses an important priority of this pilot project, namely to: “increase the investment in and commitment of local policy leaders, including superintendents, principals, mayors, selectmen, and legislators to comprehensively coordinating and integrating services for families.” The letter/Memorandum of Agreement serves as an assurance that the chief elected official of the applicant city or town is committing to be involved in this pilot project and will work to help achieve its success. Further, it provides an opportunity for the chief elected official to enumerate the specific resources that the applicant community is committing.
