Why does TICA recognize different breeds than other cat registries?

0

TICA recognizes more breeds of pedigreed cats because it’s a genetic registry. As a genetic registry, TICA allows new breeds still being developed and breeds with new traits. The breeds that fall under those categories include the Chausie, Highlander, Kurilian Bobtail, Savannah, Sokoke, Thai, Minskin, and Donskoy. These breeds of cats are not yet recognized for Championship competition, and are still being developed.
