why does victoria kennedy exemplify fortitude?
As a proud Texas Democrat since my voting age in 1972, Ted Kennedy, along with Jack and Bobby, exemplified all that could be great in this country. Not “dog eat dog” and the strongest survive, but that everyone, the poor, the elderly, the young, the disadvantaged and the unfortunate deserves the dignity and respect that this great nation stand for. Sadly, this may be the passing, not only of one of the greatest public servants of all time, but the end of the era of dedicated politicians with the guts to stick to their principles in spite of what’s popular at the moment. Remember, when Reagan was the alleged “second coming” and the resurrection of the Republican party and the rebirth of the rich getting richer and poor getting poorer and, amazingly, the country was going along with “trickle down economics” in spite of their personal declining quality of life, Ted Kennedy stuck to his guns of provided adequate funding and maintaining social programs for just those I mention above.
