Why does Vista give me a prompt saying An unidentified program wants access to your computer when running BrowseControl Console or Server Manager?
The User Access Control (UAC) feature in Windows Vista brings up this prompt when an application requires Administrator-level access. Since BrowseControl Console and Server Manager need Administrator access in order to work, you are presented with this dialogue. You must choose Allow in order to proceed.
