Why doesn Edit->Copy copy character names as well as glyph info?

Firstly because I believe that any attempt to copy a character’s name will almost certainly be better done by defining a custom encoding. Secondly because most of the time you don’t want the name copied. Thirdly because it is esthetically better that copy should only work with data and not meta-data. HOWEVER… enough people have asked this question that I’ve enabled a mode in Edit->Copy From->Char Name which allows you to change the default behavior.
