Have you got the following as the first line of your mailform:

b) You may be putting a complete email address in the value of the field for “mailuser”. The value of this field is the username before the @ sign of the Freeserve web space only. You cannot, BTW, have the results of submitting the form sent to any other email address other than one for the web space that the form is on – note that a form will only send email to the owner of the web site that it used on. Example – a hyphothetical form at http://www.network-operations.freeserve.co.uk/form.html, will only send email to @network-operation.freeserve.co.uk. See also Section 2.
