Why doesn my wordpress/cms work anymore, now that my site has been moved to a different server?
This problem is directly connected with the two former questions. Many blog platforms and other instruments for the Web only work if they know what URL to point at: for instance, wordpress contains a site_url parameter with the web address where it has been installed. In the case of www.autistici.org/mysite, for example, during installation wordpress recognizes www3.autistici.org/mysite as its URL, and thus generates every link to each article, category etc. pointing at www3. This works until your site is moved to a different server. If you want to restore it, or rather never to see this error, configure these parameters so that thei site URL is considered www.autistici.org/mysite rather than wwwX.autistici.org/mysite. An alternative solution is to correct this parameter each time your site is moved somewhere else. If you want to know something more about how to change server with wordpress, read this article.
