Why doesn Regrowth add zinc and vitamin B6 to its azelaic acid formulations?
Whereas in vitro experiments demonstrate that the addition of vitamin B6 and zinc to azelaic acid allows azelaic acid to be used in smaller quantities to inhibit the synthesis of DHT in the skin; there are no known studies in regards to the absorption dynamics of topical vitamin B6. After completing exhaustive research and having consulted the pharmacology departments of many universities, Dr. Lee has not found any information concerning the absorption, efficacy or safety of topical B6.
