Why doesn Write-n-Cite (W-N-C) work properly?

0

Several reasons can account for this. See the RefWorks W-N-C documentation for more details. • W-N-C isn’t installed properly on your computer. Make sure that your Word configuration has the W-N-C components loaded. • The version of W-N-C you are using is incompatible with your version of Word. Check the RefWorks website for current installation requirements and download a new version of W-N-C if appropriate. • You may have too many windows open. Try closing out of both RefWorks and Word and then re-opening the applications. • Your method of inserting citations is incompatible with your selected output style, for example, you are inserting in-text citations for a style that calls for footnotes. Try stripping the document of all existing references and then re-inserting them. • For Mac users working with Word 2008 for the Mac, W-N-C doesn’t work reliably with the new Word .docx file format. Try saving the file in the older .doc format.
