The DBS has been developed through multiple experiments which correlate the DBS value to the corresponding RBC value. A correlation equation is used to adjust the EPA+DHA values in the DBS HS-Omega-3 Index. The sum of EPA + DHA in the DBS report will usually be slightly different from the HS-Omega-3 Index.
