Why English people have bad teeth?
I think we have to qualify this question. If you mean by bad teeth – rotting teeth, I don’t think that’s necessarily true. There are people with rotting teeth either because they’ve totally neglected them, they’re terrified of dentists or they simply can’t find a NHS dentist to treat them (there’s a serious shortage of dentists over here). There are more people with good teeth though. If you mean crooked or uneven teeth, I don’t think the Brits are as hung up on orthodontics as much as the Americans. It’s considered to be cosmetic dentistry here (as opposed to corrective dentistry) and it’s way too expensive for most people.
