Why government vs religion?

0

In which country? In some countries, government is run by religion, in some, government is run without religion and in some there is some mingling, like in the U.S. Some of the founding fathers of the U.S. wanted more religion in government, some wanted none. They fought it over at the time. People called Jefferson an “atheist” because he was so unfriendly to the idea of including religion in the government. He was more of a deist, actually, but definitely not fond of Christianity. It is the nature of certain religions, such as Christianity, to want to take over everything and everyone, make everyone live by its rules. It is the nature of government to want to run everything. So either they marry and become a theocracy or they stay separate or they mingle a bit and displease everyone. Such as in the U.S.
