Why Group Hug?
Group Hug is The Company’s tribute to iconic and legendary groups that have left their mark on popular music. ABBA, The Beatles, Carpenters, Earth Wind and Fire, Queen and more. It’s a special collaboration with Maestro Gerard Salonga — Lea’s genius brother — and his full orchestra, FILharmonika. The best part of making the album? It was pure joy to create beautiful music with the Philippines’ best musicians, arrangers, producers and technicians. And director, Chuck Gutierrez, and cinematographer, Bernard Dacanay, did an exceptional job showing us going through life’s milestones for the video of, Nandito Pa Rin Tayo (We’re Still Here). And we’re such mush buckets, we all got teary-eyed, seeing it. What happens when members are not feeling “companionable”? Those moments are rare and far between.
