Why has my DDS changed to some number, other then the one that indicates a successful boot, after Ive run some random program?
It is only during the boot process that the PERQ’s diagnostic display system (DDS) contains valid information about the status of the system. After the system has successfully booted, a program may make a call to SetDDS, which will set the DDS to whatever value is specified by the program. Users should be aware that there is a DDS bug that possibly can cause the display to be one digit off while the system is being booted. So far, it does not seem to appear very frequently.
