Why has Prince Charles made such disparaging remarks against Austrian Patisserie this week?
Although they don’t service quite the same market, the presence in Cardiff of Austrian Patisserie is a niggling irritation to the Prince who would like to establish his own brand of tea-rooms selling Duchy Original biscuits and other products from his company. Austrian Patisserie is a competitor and just another sign of the creeping European invasion. The Canadian Muffin Company, being from the Commonwealth, is viewed more favourably.
