First and foremost the only way the Barmy Army are able to get a block allocation of tickets is by partnering up with Cricket Australia. There is no doubt that every game will be a sell out as demand from Australians to get to the games far exceeds the number of tickets available. In 2006/7, days 1-4 were sold out at every Test and even the MCG had sold out on day 2 for the first time within hours of going on sale to the Australian Cricket Family. Cricket Australia is predicting that the demand for the 3 mobile Ashes Series 2010/11 will be even higher. There is no other way to get the huge numbers of tickets we need without partnering up with CA. Secondly we have been speaking to CA on a regular basis since the last tour to ensure we can have the best experience possible at the venues. To their credit they have worked with us to make this happen.
