Why/How does ignoring someone cause schizophrenia?

Actually, a chemical imbalance of a neurotransmitter called dopamine, is thought to be the cause of schizophrenia. Schizophrenia is a mental illness that has many symptoms that are difficult to live with, both “positive” meaning something is added like a hallucination of sight or sound, or “negative” in which something is taken away, like a loss of interest in something the patient once loved. The only thing that I can think of that has anything to do with ignoring someone and a mental illness is if the ignoring caused extreme emotional distress. While Schizophrenia has been said to be hereditary, there has been research done to suggest that the illness could be onset by a traumatic event, same with Bipolar Disorder which is often confused and misdiagnosed as Schizophrenia in patients. While day to day meanness and someone being ignored likely wouldn’t be a cause for a mental illness, I can see as how it could be a stressor.
