South Dade Senior High School is in the Application Process for membership in the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). The International Baccalaureate Program is a rigorous pre-university course of studies, leading to examinations in the junior and senior years. As a member of the Geneva-based International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), South Dade, along with over 1,000 schools in 110 countries worldwide, will offer motivated students an opportunity to excel. The full diploma requires advanced international examinations in 6 subject areas plus the Theory of Knowledge, an Extended Essay, and 150 hours of extracurricular activities in the CAS Program (Creativity, Action and Service).
