Why is Chile important to cat conservation?

0

Chile has five species of cats: Puma, Geoffroy’s cat, Andean mountain cat, Guigna, and Pampas cat. Guignas have the smallest geographic range of any cats. The Andean mountain cat is extremely rare but confirmed to persist in northern Chile. The Chilean Pampas cats are also rare and populations are threatened. Anyone seeing a Pampas cat in Chile should contact me immediately.
