Why is Englands national team bad at soccer?
Football (soccer) is very popular but it’s certainly not a religion in England. There are more people who go angling than are interested in football. It is very over-hyped by the mass media so that’s why you may think that it’s a national obsession. The national flag waving sort of thing only ever happens at World Cup times. Basically the England “team” does not play like a team. They are a bunch of individual prima-donnas who shine at their own clubs and seem to think that they are superstars when they’re part of the national team. Each man seems to expect that he should be the one who the others are there to support. The result this year (as in previous years) was a lazy, slow, lackadaisical performance from a bunch of over-paid characters who seemed more interested in their designer hair cuts than playing football AS A TEAM.
