This is a side effect of the design for performance in Autodesk Inventor®. The gross detail is painted on the screen first then the finer detail. This operation may take a long time. If the mouse has moved after a specified time, the paint process starts over. If the mouse has not moved, the image will continue to be filled in. The slider in Tools > Application Options… >” Minimum frame rate” determines how long between the times Autodesk Inventor® looks for a mouse movement.
