Why is it called “Rolfing® Structural Integration”?
After Dr. Ida Rolf, who invented it. Although she wished her work to be termed “Structural Integration,” it quickly became known by its nickname. “Rolfing” is now the brand name for the type of Structural Integration taught at the Rolf Institute for Structural Integration, which Dr. Rolf founded.
