Why is it important to bring together the children of Holocaust survivors?

Bonnie: Considering that we are the generation that is closest to the survivors, we feel that it’s so important for the children of survivors to be actively involved in Holocaust education and remembrance. Many of our parents are either no longer living or no longer well enough to keep up the task of speaking either in classrooms in the Tampa Bay area or at the Florida Holocaust Museum. We are looking for “2G’s” (second generation) who are willing to speak and want to get involved. TBJCE: In addition to Generation After members speaking at the museum, in what other ways is the group associated with the Florida Holocaust Museum? Bonnie: Generations After is based at the Florida Holocaust Museum. In other cities, the second generation groups are not always associated with a museum because there’s not always a local Holocaust museum.
