there is a heating element in the freezer behind the plastic wall (near a vent you will see inside the freezer. it cycles on and off every few minutes or hours… that keeps the watter vapor in the air from freezing and collecting on things in the freezer. the heating element is broken or the timer for the element needs replacement. see an appliance parts store.
