Why is my skin drying out from using Retin-A cream?

First of all, you’re not an “idiot” like that very kind person implied. I’m using Retin-A cream as well and experience just a tad. They say a pea-sized amount, but if your skin is bad enough and you can take it…just make sure every part is covered with a thin layer. You’ll know what works for you. In a way, it’s good that it is drying out because that indicates that something is at least happening. However, try putting Cetaphil moisturizer very sparingly on the parts that are dry, itch, etc. a few minutes after applying the Retin-A. I would only do that if it was still bad after using some moderation with the dose. You don’t want a moisturizer to get in the way of your treatment too much. Keep on trying and best wishes.
