First make sure the machine is perfectly level, any “leaning” will cause the drum to vibrate as the balance springs will be underloaded on one side and overloaded on the other (you can buy a spirit level from most “pound shops”). Second. make sure clothes are separated and cannot tangle into an imbalanced “ball” try more washes with less clothes. If these points don’t cure it then you may already have distorted the balance springs (or even have a broken one), these can be replaced (hopefully you haven’t already damaged the drum bearing – check for any loose movement in the rear of the drum). Cushion pads will work to some extent – short term, but you really want to cure the problem and not mask it, as masking it may allow the machine to fail quicker.
