Why is Open Websites typing garbage characters in the URL field?
The Open Websites action currently uses AppleScript system events to open tabs and type the URLs into the browser. Unfortunately this causes problems with many non-US and even some US keyboard layouts. The only workaround for the time being is to uncheck “Open in tabs” in the Open Websites action. Of course now you lose the ability to have them all opened in tabs, so that’s not exactly a great solution. I’m hoping to find a better solution to this in a future update, but don’t know of any yet.
