Why is the High Octane version not available for trial download?
File size is the main reason the High Octane version is only available on CD. The images were not as compressed as much as the other versions to be high in quality, and therefore are much larger in file size. In addition, the bonus trial automotive software and wallpapers make up for an even larger file size. Because bandwidth and server resources do not come cheap and some still use a dial-up account to access the Internet, shipping the High Octane version on CD is the clear solution. To get a taste of what the screen saver is all about, download and try either the Classic or V2 version.
