Why is the new Cathcart Medical Office building yet to be filled to capacity and shouldn you wait to invest more into the hospital until that space is filled?
The Cathcart Medical Office plan was to build a facility that could accommodate providers currently serving the community, as well as provide the needed space for future growth. If the facility was built short of projected future growth, the Cathcart facility would eventually face the same significant challenges as the current hospital campus. Occupancy is at expected levels and with the modernized emergency department, projections indicate placement of new providers.
