We thought between a native application and a browser based approach too. The beauty of a browser based approach is that it will be always on on people’s PC’s. You need to launch a dedicated client, but you can be pretty sure that your Web browser is always on. That’s why we preferred to go for the browser plug-in. Also, the Nokia PC Phone lets you to make calls from any Web site. Check that out! When you browse in the Web, you can always switch to use your Nokia phone. This wouldn’t have been possible with a small native app. What do you think? Please let us know at http://www.nokia.com/betalabs/pcphone/feedback. To top What is the difference between the Mobile Web server and Nokia PC Phone? Mobile web server is in the phone. This is not. We try to minimize installations to the mobile phone as that is easier to the greater public. Also, all traffic between the browser and phone is over a local free of charge bearer. The Mobile Web Server relies on 3G packet data.
