Why is the picture for some channels fuzzy (not sharp)?

While watching a program press the INFO button. At the top of the screen a variety of information will be displayed. The incoming signal resolution will be listed on the bottom rectangle in the middle. Non HD signals include 480i and 480p. HD signals include 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. If the picture is fuzzy you are probably watching a Non HD signal.
