Bcoz Mugabe is seen by other African leaders as a freedom fighter just like the west see Mandela…Mugabe has that sort of status among other African leaders..he freed his pple from the British is how he is seen…so they will not come out and criticise openly….. SA has to be careful bcoz the Zulu’s have wanted their own homeland for many yrs…and some of the Zulu chiefs etc have respect for Mugabe that he got his pple the land off the white farmers…..its only a matter of time b4 the Zulu’s start an uprising for their own homeland so Mbeki has to be careful…how can you criticise his neighbour when he has similar land problems brewing under the surface in his own back yard.Also no African leader wants to be seen as a puppet of the West..its hard to understand here in the West bcoz we have not been colonised and enslaved by another nation…..many Africans I have spoken to admit they would rather suffer under their own black leader than suffer the humiliation of colonisation and s
