Visa credit cards are actually loans. Credit cards are like unsecured lines of credit. Each time you use your credit card, you are accessing a line of credit with a promise to pay it back. Visas, however, are unique in that they offer a grace period on purchases wherein you will not need to pay interest if paid in full before the grace period ends.
