Why is there a “popping sound” when playing MP3 files in the Jukebox Module?

This is sometimes caused by the following scenarios: • If you have installed and registered the Directshow filter: iviaudio.ax (for AC3 sound output). • If you have installed other audio codecs other than those installed by Windows • If you have overwritten any of the default audio codecs which come with Windows. To work around this problem: • Unregister the iviaudio.ax filter. Once unregistered, this prevents ShowShifter automatically picking up the filter when you use the Jukebox module. • If you need to watch a DivX movie with AC3 (5.1) sound, just register the filter again. • Remember to unregister the codec after you have finished watching the movie. • Some of our users have reported good results using LAME ACM.
