Why is there an initial section on basic Developmental Psychology?
A professor at the University of Hawaii (cited elsewhere in the Course) sought to analyze and address the problem of road rage among teenagers. (And one can include rage of every kind which increasingly is bedeviling every campus, in every community) We were impressed that this Professor came to the conclusion that we have —- that what was lacking in teen response capability was a knowledge of cognitive, affective and sensory-motor interconnections. Precisely! And this is the material that constitutes the first portion of this Course!
